This session provides a top down view of the Office 365 Compliance Center, delivered by Office Server and Services MVP John Timney. A business and operations focused session describing why we need to understand the key aspects of this service around archiving and retention, e-discovery, advanced e-discovery and audit. The session considers not only the features in Office 365, but the issue of legality, EU General Data Protection Regulation Compliance and the EU-US Privacy Shield, data sovereignty and the possible impact of Brexit on service owners. If you work in a regulated industry and are considering or have already adopted Office 365 and Azure then this is a must see session to ready you for a compliant business.
Here it is straight – the recent activity against many global organisations was widely reported as an attack – it was not an “attack”, but rather a campaign by a persistent and aggressive perpetrator of unknown origin (at the time of writing).
The campaign re-used large elements of already established code and exploited a loop hole that was open if a system had not been patched within the last two months. The alarming thing about this is how many organisations are running legacy kit without having an update policy in place let alone following said policy.
Just because you’re in the “Cloud” doesn’t mean your immune to threats either – this should be a very large wake up call for all businesses, large and small across the SharePoint sphere.
Join Heath as he goes through how to secure your estate from top to bottom (whether it be on premise or cloud) and he will be giving away full policy templates, tips and tricks and guidance to ensure you have all your ducks in a row.
In the current environment, this session is not to be missed.
