Our next meeting for the London chapter of the user group is on:
Please note the change to the usual day of the week as we’re trialling a different night of the week to see if that helps boost attendance.
We’re having an all up Modern theme for the night, with Vardhaman Deshpande presenting on Site Designs in SharePoint Online.
In this session, we will explore the brand-new Site Designs functionality now available in SharePoint Online. We will see how Site Designs can be used to perform various actions (e.g. provisioning lists, joining a site to a Hub, triggering a Flow etc.) during the site creation process. We will see how Site Designs make it easy to have branded and templated modern SharePoint and Office 365 Group sites. How Site Designs empower end users to create sites but also help IT Admins in reporting, auditing and maintaining governance. In the end, we will compare Site Designs with existing site customisation options and discuss scenarios where one option might be preferred over another.
We’ll take the usual break for refreshments, then we’ll have two MVPs from Belgium (Who should both be familiar to regular attendees of SUGUK and SPS in the UK), Thomas Vochton and Elio Struyf presenting on SPFx for the reluctant ITPro.
SharePoint development has evolved a great deal over the last few years. After a few trials & tribulations, Microsoft settled on the SharePoint Framework. While this new way of building customizations is challenging for seasoned SharePoint developers, IT Pro’s also need to know about all the moving parts of this new model. How else are we going to control which code makes it into our SharePoint tenant? We’ll talk about how to manage these apps, how they fit into your existing operations and how to deal with security. No farm solutions involved or you get your money back.
