Click here for Disaster! Configuring SharePoint standby farms

Level: 300

Disaster recovery with SharePoint is no walk in the park. This session will show you how to configure a SharePoint standby farm and how to get your data across reliably (and in a supported way). We’ll introduce SQL Availability Groups and how they can help us out. Finally, we’ll provide you with some real-world tips on how to manage and operate such an environment so you’ll be ready when disaster strikes.

SharePoint Health & Operational Service Audience: Infrastructure, Architect, IT Pro

Products: SharePoint Server

Session Level: 200 – Overview

This session will provide all up coverage of the top ten health and operational service considerations for running SharePoint on premises, based upon the findings of health check and risk assessment reviews covering the last three major releases. Understanding common operational service challenges is the key to operating SharePoint farms for the entire lifecycle rather than simply the initial deployment.

Pizzas and soft drinks will be provided.

Note: We aim to supply a mixture of Vegetarian and Meat based pizzas. These are supplied from Dominos thanks to the kind support of vendors. Due to cost and logistics, we are unable to offer any alternatives, but you are very welcome to bring your own.

For more details regarding Domino’s food standards such as their Halal status, please see their FAQ
